How we can help
With over 30 years of experience in all domains of family law, Anna Clarke Sas understands what you’re going through and how to get through. We’ll take care of the legal business so you can focus on yourself and your family.
Sas Law handles the following types of cases:
-
Financial stability is a crucial aspect of moving forward after a divorce; however, these cases have the hardest outcomes to predict. Courts will use statutory factors and, in some cases, a formula to determine the amount of support allocated. Other factors such as length of marriage, education, and training often impact the result, but no matter your situation, our firm will let you seize the right to explore your options.
-
Deciding custody and visitation is the single most wrenching part of a divorce. Who decides which school your child goes to? And who gets Christmas morning? We know you want to be there for your child’s biggest moments.
Anna Clarke Sas has spent decades working with psychological and educational experts to ensure that your child’s best interests are heard and respected in court. She will make sure you, your child, and your family have the tools to move on in a healthy way.
-
Divorce can be the hardest event your family will ever have to go through. Whether an uncontested and contested divorce, in which parties have either agreed upon all issues or find fault on the basis of adultery, cruelty, abandonment, or other grounds, we will work with you to understand your situation and develop a strategy tailored to you and your family’s needs.
-
The marital home, accounts, retirement, and businesses may be subject to division during a divorce. While the rules governing division are clear and specific, the valuation process is not. We will work with forensic accountants and other experts to make sure you have the financial stability to move forward after your divorce.
-
Grandparents step up when a parent, because of health or other issues, cannot. We support these relationships.
-
Appointed by the court as an attorney for the child, the guardian ad litem (GAL) conducts an independent investigation of the child’s situation and makes a recommendation to the court for the custody arrangement in the child’s best interest.
The court appoints a GAL in divorce matters when parents cannot reach a custody or visitation agreement, as well as in juvenile and domestic relations district court, abuse and neglect, and adoption matters.
-
With over 30 years of military service at our firm, we understand the unique challenges that military families face in legal matters. Relocation due to PCS orders may throw a wrench into your parenting schedules, while military divorces require special consideration for the division of military retirement, SBP, or TSP. Throughout this process, we will make sure your rights and interests are protected.
-
These premarital agreements offer protection of assets and interests if “I do” becomes “I don’t want to anymore.”
-
Giving you some peace of mind, protective orders may mandate no contact to protect victims of family abuse.
